Located in the breathtakingly beautiful nature of Sweden in the heart of Värmland where the Klarälven river crosses the landscape, we offer camping, cabins and outdoor activities. Fantastic nature experiences, wonderful outdoor activities and accommodation in harmony with nature. A province known for its folklore and its beautiful nature, with huge forests, rivers and numerous lakes.

About Storängens Camping
Of the total area of 15 hectares, 6 hectares are used as a camping area and the remaining 9 hectares of the area consist of forest, a stream, wild grassland with beautiful wild flowers and at the right time of year with wild raspberries, wild strawberries and mushrooms. The campsite is located right next to the river Klarälven where you can swim, fish or have an experience in the middle of nature by canoe or raft. This is the place where you can really explore and enjoy nature.
Proximity to animals
Have you ever seen a moose? Maybe you’ll see one in the summer during a moose safari or just during your hike in the woods. To spot beavers it is not necessary to leave the campsite, in different places you will find beaver lodges with hopefully a beaver. It is also possible to go on a beaver safari, which starts from the campsite. We will go down the river on a raft, enjoy nature and try to spot beavers up close. Other animals that often appear at the campsite are deer, fox, hare, squirrel, cranes and birds of prey. Most likely, they appear early in the morning and in the evening.
Active holidays
Do you want to be active and do some sports during your holiday? No problem. There are many different hiking trails in the area where you can go hiking, jogging or mountain biking. Klarälvsbanan is a perfect stretch for cycling or roller skating, as it used to be a railway but has now been transformed into a paved cycle path without motorized traffic, easy and safe for both adults and children.
If you like water sports, why not take a canoe trip or a trip on a raft on the Klarälven river? Catch a fish or just swim in the river directly from the campsite or go to different lakes in the forest?
