Events in Ransäter
In the surroundings of Ransäter/Munkfors there are events throughout the year. Most of these events are traditional Swedish festivities with dance and music.
Below you will find some examples that are worth a visit:

During the biggest event of the year, Bälgspel vid landsvägskanten, held on Ransäter Hembygdsgård at the beginning of July (first weekend, 4 days), visitors/musicians find each other also at the campsite and play Scandinavian folk music in groups. A tradition that originated around 1970. This is your chance to experience this wonderful tradition. However, some guests may find this tradition disturbing. Outside of this event, the campsite is an oasis of peace.

In 2006, a large water park was opened in Sunne with several water slides and large pools. The water temperature is always 25 degrees, a real paradise for the whole family.

Ski Tunnel Torsby
Skiing in the summer? Now it is possible in Sweden’s largest and the world’s longest ski tunnel in Torsby. The tunnel has a temperature between 0 and -3 degrees. The tunnel is 8 meters wide, 4 meters high and 1.3 km long.
